How to check if your windows is genuine

Microsoft Windows needs to be activated before it is to be used commercially or non-commercial. Microsoft has also confirmed that cracked or pirated versions of windows are venerable or viruses or ransomware attacks or it will be expired soon. So you need to activate the windows in any case.  

Windows License Key Price:

Microsoft has started the official distribution of the Genuine license key to the wholesaler or official distributors for a license. Microsoft Windows X also comes pre-installed and licensed by Microsoft when the PC/Laptop was released to the market.

Hence there are 2 types of license

1. Digital License: comes pre-installed on your laptop or computer.

2. Normal license: needs to be purchased separately and activate your copy of windows.

So, the price of the windows product key is as follow:

• If you purchase the key from Microsoft or their official distributors the price will be 120$ approximately.

• If you purchase the key from online stores, then you'll get a comparative advantage in terms of price of the license key. Because you may find the key price to be very cheap approximately 10-15$ for the lifetime activation key.

How can I check if my windows is genuine:

Remember, the cracked version of key cannot be equivalent to the genuine key or windows. 

You can check if your windows is genuine or cracked by the following steps:

1. Open command prompt as Administrator or standard user.

2. Type the following command, slmgr.vbs /xpr if this command doesn't works type this:

slmgr /xpr 

If you see the output as Your windows is in notification windows. It means your windows has not been activated yet.

OR

If you see the output as Your windows will expire in DD/MM/YYYY. It means you're using a cracked version of windows. Because cracked versions always shows expiry of 2-3 months while genuine is lifetime activated. Your windows or data might be at risk at this stage or windows will expire soon.

OR

If you see the output as This machine is permanently activated. It means your windows is genuine and you're using the genuine license for your windows. It will never expires or disturbs you with activation. You'll receive lifetime security and anti-ransomware updates from Microsoft.

Bonus command:

slmgr.vbs /dli: This command tells if you've using cracked software to activate your windows. Such as kmspico. Or if you didn't see any kmspico or expiry it means your windows is not cracked.
